My film The Trained Chinese Tongue is currently available on The Criterion Channel.

The Trained Chinese Tongue won Best Short Film at the Los Angeles Asian American Film Festival. My film projects have received grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, the Jerome Foundation, National Asian American Telecommunications Association, the Eastman Foundation, and the Wellspring Foundation. The film has shown at festivals around the U.S. and Japan and was broadcast on WNET, the PBS member station in New York City.

I taught filmmaking workshops at Women Make Movies, the largest distributor of films by and about women in the world, as well as at the youth program of the New York City AIDS Housing Network (since renamed VOCAL-NY). I served as a judge for the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Film Artist Fellowships.
